Where we go

Melbourne to anywhere

Regular interstate runs to the east coast capitals, plus regional destinations along the way. Tell us where you're headed and we'll price it.

Sydney

~880 km

Our most frequent interstate run. Door to door, with regional NSW stops along the Hume on request.

Canberra

~660 km

The shortest of the interstate routes, and often the most economical per cubic metre.

Adelaide

~730 km

Straight run west across the Western Highway, with regional Victorian and SA pickups possible.

Brisbane

~1,700 km

Long-haul north, including the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Worth booking further ahead.

How interstate pricing works

You know the number before we load

Hourly pricing makes sense for a local move. Over 900 kilometres it just transfers every risk onto you — traffic, weather, a slow lift at the other end. So we don't use it.

Fixed per-m³ rate. Priced on the volume your belongings occupy, agreed in writing before moving day.

GST already in it. Every figure we quote includes GST, so there's no adjustment at the end.

Bigger loads are planned, not improvised. Homes over 24m³ go on a second truck with extra crew, quoted the same way.

Heavy items get more hands. Marble tables, stone tops and safes are staffed properly — tell us at quote stage.

Hourly interstate

  • Final cost unknown until it's done

  • Quote grows on moving day
  • Hard to compare between companies

Our fixed per-m³

  • Price agreed before we load
  • Delays are ours to absorb
  • GST and travel already included

Questions

Interstate moving

How is an interstate move priced?
Always as a fixed fee, based on a per-cubic-metre rate. We work the volume out from your item list before the move, so the figure is agreed in advance. It includes GST. Interstate moves are never charged hourly.
What if my home is bigger than 24m³?
24m³ is the capacity of one truck, not a limit on what we can move. Larger homes go on two trucks with four movers, priced the same per-cubic-metre way. Tell us the full inventory and we'll work out which option is more economical for your route.
Do you move marble, stone or other very heavy items?
Yes, but we need to know at quote stage so we can put enough people on it. Marble, stone tops, safes, antiques and glass all need declaring before the booking is finalised — it changes the crew size and how we pack the load.
Which cities do you cover?
Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Adelaide are our regular runs, along with regional destinations along those routes. If you're headed somewhere else, ask — we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right option for that trip.
Is my furniture insured across state lines?
We carry Marine Transit Insurance for the journey and Public Liability at both addresses. Three exclusions to know: boxes you pack yourself aren't covered for internal breakage, cover is void if anyone other than our crew loads or unloads, and assembled flat-pack furniture isn't covered unless it's disassembled first.
What deposit do you need?
A booking deposit secures your truck and crew, and it's fully refundable if you cancel at least 7 days before the move. Inside that 7-day window it's non-refundable, because the slot is held for you.
When do I pay the balance?
Before we unload at the destination. Cash, bank transfer, EFTPOS or a secure online payment link — worth arranging in advance given you'll be interstate.
What if something is damaged?
Report it within 24 hours of the move completing, with clear photos of the damage. Claims made after that window can't be accepted under our insurance, so check your items on delivery day rather than after you've unpacked.
